Disaster Preparedness
We are taking various measures to prepare for unforeseen disasters.
Disaster Broadcasting Agreement
TOKAI Cable Network has entered into an agreement with the local government regarding disaster broadcasting. This agreement aims to contribute to the safety of citizens' lives by utilizing disaster broadcasting to mitigate damage in the event of major natural disasters, such as tsunamis, heavy rainfall, or other potential disasters occurring within the relevant city.
In the event of a disaster or the potential occurrence of a disaster, upon request from Numazu City or when deemed necessary by TOKAI Cable Network, both parties will engage in discussions to broadcast information related to the emergency disaster and other necessary matters for mitigating damage on the TOKAI Cable Network Community Channel. Timely broadcasts will be conducted as needed based on the situation.

Expanding the sales of "TOKAI Zero Solar"
We are expanding the sales of "TOKAI Zero Solar" a solar power system that allows free electricity usage even in the event of sudden power outages caused by disasters. During daylight hours, electricity generated by solar power can be used for free through the independent operation outlet of the power conditioner, allowing the use of electrical appliances up to a maximum of 1.5KVA.
Disaster Relief Activities
We have been providing various support to expedite the recovery and reconstruction of disaster-affected areas.
Donation of Relief Funds
We donate relief funds to municipalities that have been affected by natural disasters and other emergencies.
- Noto Peninsula Earthquake in 2024
We donated 10 million yen as the TOKAI Group, and an additional 3 million yen through employee contributions, for the reconstruction of the affected areas, which was facilitated through Shizuoka Newspaper.
- Atami City Debris Flow Disaster in 2021
Both TOKAI Holdings and TOKAI Co., Ltd. donated 1 million yen each, totaling 2 million yen, as relief funds.
Provision of Support Supplies
We send support supplies to individuals affected by disasters who are facing difficulties in evacuation centers and other locations.
